TRENCH PATCHING
A trench patch is 2’ x 11’ and is typically used to repair:
♦ Trip hazards
♦ Utility cuts
♦ Garage aprons
♦ Transverse joints on runways/taxiways
♦ Speed bumps
♦ Areas the traditional patch does not fit
The photos below show the trench being used to raise the area where asphalt meets concrete.
Step 1:
Heating repair area.
Step 2:
Adding new asphalt, blend and level area.
Step 3:
Vibratory compactor for seamless bond with existing pavements.
